Greg T. Rinckey is one of the founding partners for both Tully Rinckey LLP and its American sister company Tully Rinckey PLLC. Greg has worked tirelessly with Founding Partner Mathew B. Tully since 2004 to build the firm from the ground up. Today, the firm spans across the United States with multiple offices in high profile cities. The firm has been recognized nationally by both the legal and business community for its excellent service and entrepreneurial growth. As a Founding Partner, Greg collaborates with Mat in all areas of strategic planning and law practice management to develop and deploy innovative business solutions that continue to grow the firm across the globe.
Greg is a unique attorney who is licensed to practice law in both the UK and the United States. Along with being added to the UK Roll of Solicitors in 2020, allowing him to practice in England and Wales, he is also admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and in the District of Columbia.
As a practicing attorney Greg focuses on federal employment law, EEO and discrimination litigation; and national security clearance representation. His previous representation in national security and security clearance cases has ranged from high level military officers to covert operation officers of various intelligence agencies. During his previous tenure as an attorney with the U.S. Army JAG Corps, Greg prosecuted and defended military personnel in over 100 felony cases, with charges ranging from drug possession to murder. He has represented federal and private sector employees in investigations and cases in front of the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Office of Special Counsel (OSC).
In addition to his work in labor law, federal employment law, and security clearance representation, Greg is an experienced business law solicitor. He advises businesses in a wide array of matters including cross border formations, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations and human resources best practices. He also handles commercial disputes and real estate deals, and he represents employers in employment law matters.
Greg has defined himself as a leader in the military, federal employment, and security clearance representation sectors. He is frequently asked by European and national US media outlets to offer his experienced legal commentary on these matters. Additionally, he has co-authored a book on military criminal defense titled, “Strategies for Military Criminal Defense: Leading Lawyers on Understanding the Military Justice System, Constructing Effective Defense Strategies, and Navigating Complex Cases.” Along with his own book, Greg has authored chapters in other publications relating to the security clearance sector as well.
Before becoming an attorney, Greg was honorably discharged from the East Meadow, N.Y. Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter/emergency medical technician. In 2011, he received his MBA from the State University of New York at Albany. Greg is also PADI certified as an open water scuba diver. As Tully Rinckey continues to spread across the globe, Greg is eager to dive head first into these new waters as he looks forward to continuing his practice in the UK.
